Today's shop progress. Got the x scale, mounting brackets, and cable management back in. Wish I remembered to do this before mounting the motor. Unfortunately getting good at removing and installing the motor.

Finished adulting early so got some more of the lathe assembled. X lead screw, gibs adjusted, and tailstock on. Future me will hate current me as one of the locking set screws on the gibs is rounded out.

Table back on and y lead screw thrust bearings adjusted. Need to do the gib and rear bearing mount yet

Y reassembled and adjusted. Just need to figure out scale mounting and lock screws

Started disconnecting the control cabinet

Controls unwired and cabinet removed. Just the quill to remove before I have to get back into sketchy stuff.

And it's off the trailer. Let the cleaning begin

When you know from the factory it will not start....

Things afoot

Encoder is working but it does not show up on boot. Needs a hotplug to be detected for some reason. Good enough to start taking bus traces and emulating.
