RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) Winsome Pinnock Playwright Winsome Pinnock is an inspirational figure for our students and staff. She was the first black British female writer to have a play produced by the Royal National Theatre & was Associate Professor in Drama at Kingston University from 2005 to 2019!

They will both officially receive their Honorary Fellowships on Saturday at the RADA graduation ceremony. It was my first time as Chair of RADA to oversee the fellowship process & without revealing the discussions around it, I think it's fair to say everyone involved is ecstatic!

I am so proud of this honour for many reasons, some of which I may get to name during tomorrow's graduation ceremony. As a young girl I dreamed about auditioning for RADA but was too insecure/poor to do so. Life comes full circle.
