Congratulations to Denis on winning our FIDE Blitz this morning with 10/11 ahead of fellow first team players Rahul and Raghav, 26 played. The chess festival continues on Monday with morning and afternoon rapidplay tournaments.

Wilson's Chess Club had 140 at lunchtime today, using 4 classrooms. Having separate rooms for Sixth form and Year 11 is popular, with years 8, 9 and 10 mixing in two other classrooms. ECF Schools Chess Chess in Schools and Communities

It used to be that chess club was dominatd by year 7s. During covid we had to have bubbles and chess club by year group. This Thursday we have 30 year 12s, 30 year 11s, 30 year 10s and 20 year 9s at chess club. try year group chess clubs - it works! ECF Schools Chess
