I have posted a lot of our new Mammoth exhibit but today I’m going to be showing you our new Protoceratops and Velociraptor exhibit. This probably my favorite exhibit we created besides the mammoth of course.

This is Trematops! An ultra-rare giant amphibian from our famous red-bed Permian bone beds. Though it looks similar to Eryops, which is extremely common in the Permian, Trematops is much less common.

Queen Margaret!! (AKA Aunt Marge). After finding both left and right premaxillary bones, this morning I discovered the complete left side of the skull including the enormous maxilla. Pictured here is the first few moments of uncovering the first few teeth in the maxilla.

Palatine! Yup, Dimetrodon had ultra small teeth on the roof of the mouth. The Queen Margaret Dimetrodon skull has an incredible complete palatine bone - which nestles up to the Pterygoid, another bone in the roof of the mouth that has teeth on it.

Queen Marge the Dimetrodon! The full left and right premaxillary bones prepped!! They articulate beautifully with each other. The rest of the skull is going to be incredible.
