Do you remember when Gary Lineker said some of the dehumanising language used by the last Tory government about migrants and asylum seekers was reminiscent of Germany in the 30s. And the right were furious. Outrageous they screeched. Well, he wasn't wrong was he.

The Bowling Green, in Crosshill, Glasgow, near Hampden and Cathkin Park, arguably home of Scottish and World football. #football #Glasgow

Cathkin Park, originally the second Hampden Park, former home of Queen's Park (1884-1903) and Third Lanark (1903-1967). Record attendance 51,518. Terrace goes up 68 steps. #football #thirdlanark #queensparkfc #cathkinpark

I love it when I get a pay out from my 0-0 insurers, Bet365. Terrible game but ยฃ5 @ 9-1 eases the disappointment. #football

Ice Cream vendors FFS fork out on a scoop for each tub. Dipping the same scoop in water after each serving is fucking disgusting. #IceCream

... and the Potteries clubs revert to type in only the second round of matches. Port Vale Football Club with a 0-0 and Stoke City FC getting thrashed. I can hear the collective sighs of the city. Long seasons await. #scfc #pvfc #football

In 2010, the NHS was rated the fairest, most efficient & cost-effective healthcare system in the world. The Tories spent 14 years buggering it up. We don't need "reform", FFS, Labour. We need the NHS put back to its unbuggered-up state. Which means un-privatise it and fund it

All the evidence shows that privatisation has 1) Worse outcomes for patients, and 2) Is more expensive for taxpayers Guess who benefits? Profiteering companies. It is utterly shocking & deeply depressing that Labour, which founded the NHS, is intent on more NHS privatisation

Watford away in the 80s. Do away fans still have to walk for two miles round the allotments to get to their triangle of terracing? #groundhopping #football #BHAFC

Johnson got drunk at a secret party with a KGB agent in a foreign country after a NATO meeting and the Tory press stay quiet. Starmer meets Taylor Swift in London and they shriek murder. Thats the British press for you.

For a paper that was so relaxed about Boris Johnson and Partygate, the Daily Mail seems oddly worked up about Keir Starmer going to a pop concert.

In the last week, Labour hit a crucial milestone on getting rid of hereditary peers, unlocked ยฃ1bn funding for social housing insulation, initiated plans to regulate buy-now-pay-later lenders and started to coalesce around an HS2 replacement. Barely any chat about this at all.

Privatisation: Steal something we own and sell us back a worse service at an exorbitant price. Canโ€™t believe weโ€™ve just done this to our Post Office. Two of the closest Post Offices to where I live in central London are now threatened with closure while postage prices skyrocket.
