Tired of low turnout in local elections? Let's hold elections when more voters vote! SHB 1156, the #RCV Local Options Bill, would allow localities to switch to even year elections and combine the primary and general into one high turnout election! washingtonstatewire.com/what-do-the-se…

You have NIMBY neighbors, you get NIMBY results. The victims here aren't those that use the park but have no other option than to live in it. seattletimes.com/seattle-news/a…

Anybody else receiving responses from Seattle Department of Transportation claiming the new redesign of Eastlake between University Bridge and Harvard Ave E will "make the bike lanes feel more comfortable"? If I wanted comfort I'd wear my chamois. We're talking public safety here!

The King County Board of Health has repealed the bicycle helmet law. The primary sentiment was that they strongly recommend the use of helmets, but do not believe police enforcement is the correct method for achieving that public health goal. Background: seattlebikeblog.com/2022/02/15/kin…

Councilmember Tammy J. Morales (@cmtammymorales) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Today, I voted to repeal King County’s helmet law that is disproportionately enforced against our BIPOC community members and people experiencing homelessness. While this won't end biased policing, we are ending a practice we know is doing harm in our community.

Are protected bike lanes finally arriving in White Center? Only if you make it so 🖖 Public comment is open: kingcounty.gov/16thAveSW I'm voting for Option 1, but they leave a lot to be desired.

Act Now: We need a direct & safe waterfront bike path! SEA’s new signature waterfront trail will close the final gap Alki to Burke Gilman (2024). A confusing, indirect route won't get us there. Email now or attend SDOT open house Tues 5/10 4:30–5:30p seattlegreenways.org/blog/2022/05/0…
