Many similarities between Eddie Jones and Rishi Sunak’s tenure at the helm. EJ’s choices with the blind side flank and RS’s choices for Home Secretary are one.

Speaking to a non-client non-adviser friend yesterday about adviser charges. He said he is not bothered as long as the performance is there. Did not expect that especially as he is generally the last to the bar!

This year has seen the highest level of Investment Platform outflows in over a decade peaking in September when markets where close to their low point for the year. This does not apply where an adviser is involved. We are here to save you from costly mistakes.

I just asked Rachel to tell the mechanic to take my golf clubs out of my boot (I was in the shower). My phone then tells me it is 11 mins to get to the golf club. Where am I in the matrix?

Never a weak episode, however, this is up there in the very best of Tim Ferriss’ podcasts. The examination of how damaging a lack of nuance is to a whole generation I found especially important from this. open.spotify.com/episode/2RRsbF…

We have been trying to work out how FCA fees and PI premiums are arrived at for our firm. Specifically, if there is any credence to the argument that either or both are charged on a percentage basis of AUM. Does anyone know?

When going away my wife packs my pants and socks while I choose my other items of clothing. I have no idea why we have this routine and why she packs an extra pair of pants for me. To my knowledge I have never 💩 myself.

Does the name of a place effect the desire to live there and subsequently house prices? Currently checking Snodland’s house prices compared to the rest of Kent.

Is there any truth in money laundering being rife with the new app based banks? Apparently things are so bad that they are not opening new accounts as they are dealing with existing failings.

Variety in life has to be the most important thing otherwise we are just incarcerated. Nonetheless I don’t like going to Sainsbury’s.

Consider best location for weekend away. Research best value hotel. Think about things to do. Then spend an unnecessary amount of time watching shit tv in the hotel room.

This time last year New Orleans. Today Orleans. These two cities sum up the difference between the USA and France. Literally nothing in common, however, I found much to like in both. That said we felt fearful of our lives in one of the two. And it wasn’t from Joan of Arc.

So with 38% claimants of Universal Credit being in work it seems crazy to keep ramping up employer taxes. Surely freeing up the ability to increase employee wages without being penalised through additional taxation would ease those requiring to draw UC?
