With violence grounding commercial flights, UN Humanitarian Air Service remains the only way in and out of #Haiti’s capital—a vital lifeline for humanitarians. In 2025, UNHAS has stepped up operations, completing 700 flights and transporting 7500 aid workers to keep the crisis response going.

Thanks to UN Humanitarian Air Service support, IOM was able to transport humanitarian cargo by air to Belladère, a border town difficult to access by road due to gang violence in Mirebalais. This mission allows IOM and GARR to deliver urgent assistance to deported migrants in this isolated area.
