Had a wonderful time World Fantasy Con 2020. Virtual Con ran so well. Informative panels. Amazing readings made me realize my writing is so frivolous. Met writers I will follow forever, especially Eugen Bacon. Mede new friends in the virtual bar. Great Con. I'll be back.
1/ Huge congratulations to our own griot Nisi Shawl for winning the World Fantasy Con 2020 World #Fantasy Award for their anthology NEW SUNS: Original Speculative Fiction by People of Color! Read this thread for more good stuff. #sciencefiction #BIPOC
I just received my World Fantasy Con 2020 book in the mail. This was good. The souvenir book will bring more joy when I read it. What I loved now was the sticker that lurked in the pages. I'd eyed off that logo and dreamed of a sticker. Some logos cry "You need this in sticker form."
Should be a fun panel. Registration is free. I'll be talking about Sci-Fi/STEM and getting kids immersed in reading with Science Fiction and Fantasy. #STEMeducation, #middlegrade World Fantasy Con 2020
Thank you for attending my readings! The virtual con was awesome, indeed, very informative. I'm still sizzling (in a sweet way) over the networking, collaborations and amazing conversations. A job well done #wfc2020 World Fantasy Con 2020
Still catching up with World Fantasy Con 2020 panels. Look forward to reading from 'Black Speculative Futures'. Eugen Bacon Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki Thaddeus Howze is ‘The Answer-Man’ Sheree Renée Thomas 2024 Ignyte Award Winner 'Reading is an interactive experience. Writers bring their whole selves. Readers bring their whole selves.'
Great recommendations from 'Diaspora Voices' panel World Fantasy Con 2020 The Wizardry of Jewish Women by Gillian Pollack, Master of Poisons by Andrea Hairston, Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga... to name a few. Great discussion Marina Berlin (mostly not here) Brandon O'Brien, Wrestling With The Words
Really interesting and thought-provoking ideas from the Queering Fantasy panel World Fantasy Con 2020, discussing the spectrum of what it means to queer fantasy, as well as a whole host of recommendations that have filled my to read list. maiden china 🥢⏳ S.
