As DC residents' cost of power continues to soar Pepco's revenue has increased by almost $28 million compared to last year. This is over a 30% increase in residential revenue in just Q1 of 2025. Pepco is squeezing DC residents for all they have. wepowerdc.org/latest-news/pe…

Budget news 🧵: No furloughs or facility closures will need to happen to close the budget hole that Congress created in the city's current year budget. City officials did some fiscal maneuvering and made $347 million in spending cuts, but avoided their worst-case scenarios.

The Mayor's budget funds PEF for only 1 year (FY26) out of the 4 year budget, effectively eliminating a very successful salary/health program in October 2026. Huge mistake. Yet, she is funding capital gains tax cuts for wealthy tech biz owners in a program proven to not work.
