Successively, Cecile Janssens gave an excellent talk on polygenetic risk scores and how we should never stop thinking critically about epi research #epitwitter “are we measuring what we think we are?”

VvE achievement award winner george davey smith concluded the plenary session with “a lifecourse perspective on health ageing”. I was extremely pleased to see measurement error discussed in several slides.

Among other things, he discussed a paper on measurement error he had written in 1991 (the year I was born). Almost thirty years later, it’s me doing a PhD on measurement error and feeling there is still a big measurement error knowledge gap.
