Silver DofE Qualifying 2025 Temperature is warm, but we are taking advantage of the shaded footpaths.

Silver Qualifying 2025 All groups are on their journeys. Lots of excited and smiley faces.

All groups are at the campsite with tents up and cooking. Thankfully a cool breeze for most of the day with a little cloud cover.

After their individual group debriefs, and a quick run around, before watching the sun set.

Campers are starting to prepare for today's journey. A cooler night has been very welcome.

The temperature is already rising. The route has been further shortened and 125l of water is going on to the hills.

All groups have shortened routes with reduced weight in their rucksacks.

All groups are on their way in very hot temperatures. I have sent an email for a potentially change for tonight's planned activities.

All groups now in Castleton. Some grps braved Mam Tor some descended in Castleton from Hollins Cross.

A huge well done to those groups that summited Mam Tor today. An amazing achievement with the weather conditions.

Cooking is fully underway with groups keeping in the shade when not on task. Really good effort from all today.

Everyone has had a lovely evening with free soft drinks. All in tents with a big ✅ of all aspects of the Silver Award, the only need to navigate to Castleton tomorrow. There is a road closure on route, I have emailed the best way to travel. 1st grp expected to arrive at 11.30

It's a hive of activity on the last morning. Groups look like they will be leaving on time for an 11.30-12.00 finish with lots of food cravings.
