Do not assume you can trust students, of any age, with scissors. In my 1st year of TF a year 10 shaved an eyebrow off! Do not lend your good stationery out, you’ll never get it back (including lending to staff). Do not make a brew in an ordinary mug. Kids will sneeze over it 😷

Good luck to anyone starting at this school today! Enjoy it, take in what you can, ask lots of questions and don’t worry about remembering everything - the best thing about teacher training is you learn the most on the job 🎉

Many of you will be starting in school tomorrow so here's a top tip from Ambassador Katie: Always keep a notepad or post it note nearby! You never know when you'll see a great idea and want to jot it down before you forget 📚
