Children's books are not a luxury. Libraries & librarians are not a luxury. The teachers who inspire kids to read are not a luxury. If you cut or undermine or lose these things – #literacy will cease to be a basic human right, and will become a luxury, available only to a few.

Here is one example of the wonderful stories that have been written in Year 5 this week. The children have been exploring journey stories using Percy Jackson as inspiration.

What a fantastic event from Sophy Henn last Friday - we really loved the draw alongs - so many excited children and grownups!! Simon & Schuster Children's Books Blue Bear Bookshop

The gardening club have been busy this term and are very pleased with the results. They have planted sunflowers, pumpkins, lettuces and tomatoes amongst other things. They have also created a new wild flower area.
