Horrifying read - that this is still happening, in the UK today (yes Scotland too) is a disgrace. Autistic people deserve far better.

There is something deeply insidious about this. The Italian government is rolling out the carpet to offer treatment and the NHS and uk courts block it to end treatment and kill this child. The treatment may not work - what does the child have to lose?!

This is such sad and awful news. This charity has been so helpful for autistic people and will be a real loss. Truly disappointing our Scottish government cannot see the value in supporting autistic people.

This is what Scotland are considering now - this is the future worries of disabled and vulnerable people here if assisted dying is law. I struggle to comprehend people can’t see these concerns, actually I think they do know, they simply don’t care.

Making the disabled a scapegoat as an election pledge is a hideously sinister and evil use of power. I cannot fathom what Sunak is thinking with this stuff.

I will never comprehend how people can view disabled children in this way. There are some who argue people dont think like Jeff here, I wish that was the case. To be clear - ALL are made in the image of God, Jeff that is you, it is also my child!.

There is so much cruelty in the world. As Christians, let's not add to it. Our methods matter. Even when we are opposing evil, snark and pushiness and humiliating others are not the way. We advance Christ's work with patience, persuasion, wholesomeness, and love.

Absolutely horrified that we are in an age where we have to seriously say to Christians - Don't use Nazi gestures to try to be cool! What on earth has happened to our discernment?

There is a lot of people who profess themselves Christian who need to reflect on the parable of the unforgiving servant today. Forgiveness is hard, miraculous even, it is unlocked by the power of grace knowing how much we have been forgiven.
