Really grateful to be able to attend #IICWGDA11 in beautiful Oslo this week! π³π΄ Thank you to the organizers and participants for bringing so much sea ice knowledge into one room. Lots of new ideas to take home and think about... β UCT MARIS CRiceS_H2020 UCT Oceanography

Excited to present our new nature paper! Our findings show that an ice sheet retreated at up to 600 m/day at the end of the last Ice Age. Read for free here: rdcu.be/c9eZ4 Frazer Christie Sasha Montelli Dr Jeff Evans NCL Physical Geog 1/6

Several UCT MARIS posters on display at the annual CRiceS_H2020 meeting this past week in Grenoble, France πΏπ¦π«π· This project focuses on improving model predictions of the role of polar processes in the climate system that consists of oceans, ice & snow cover & the atmosphere.

The UCT MARIS Sea Ice Team has had an incredible time sharing and learning from the SANAP community at the #SANAP2023 Symposium this week! Thank you Stellenbosch University Team for doing such a great job at hosting the symposium this year! [email protected] Happy Antarctica Day π
