#Testimony On 10/18, Work Order 724138 was submitted because a radiator exploded. To no ones surprise, that work order was closed out & marked completed. As a result, students of all ages have had to walk down a relatively chilly corridor with no heat for approx 56 calendar days

What I am asking for isn’t impossible. I’m asking for accountability with the agency that is supposed to keep our buildings safe. Many of the problems could have been prevented or quickly solved with efficient oversight.

Today, on behalf on the Whittier PTO, the Washington Lawyer Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs sent a letter to DC Deputy Mayor for Education Mayor Muriel Bowser Phil Mendelson CM Janeese Lewis George Chancellor Ferebee - we’re currently waiting on a reply!!

🚨🚨DC Public Schools Mayor Muriel Bowser Chancellor Ferebee DC Council the delay in processing teacher payments with only 6 staffers working is unacceptable. We must live up to the promise & fulfill educator contracts. Prioritize this issue & take immediate action. Lives are on the line.
