Today’s first finishers were Oliver Bushdari of Orion Harriers in 17:00 bang on, and Kelly Clark of VPHTHAC in 20:40. Not their best times, but times I’m sure they’ll be proud of in the conditions.

Today’s milestones: 25 for Mj Lewis, Asha Haji, and Sonia Gascon Lopez; 50 for Hannah Gostling, Sam Bevins, Redmond Shannon, Sean Leonard, and the aforementioned Oliver Bushdari; 100 for Joanna Bilcliffe (thanks for the amazing biscuits!); plus a 300 for John Evetts!

🎅MESSAGE TO THE VERY YOUNG🤶 It’s the Eve before the Santa parkrun, so expect the adults in the household to be super excited. Humour them but do try to get them into bed early and encourage them to lay out their costumes tonight for the morning as no one wants dramatics at 8am.

I'm afraid we will not have access to the loos this weekend, so please go before you go!

Event 546: Merry Christmas everyone! Especially to the volunteers who made these last two events possible. We had 161 finishers yesterday and 190 today.

Euan Brown of HallamshireHarriers did the festive first finish double, and was followed by his two brothers today for a fabulous family 1-2-3. Lee Milne of Eton Manor AC was first female finisher yesterday, and Sarah Burns of East London Runners was first today.

There were a few milestones over the last couple of days, but one eclipsed them all: we had our first 500 (FIVE HUNDRED) milestone today! Congratulations to local legend Andrew Howard on a magnificent achievement.

RESULTS CORRECTION FOR 07-01-2023: We received a couple of emails regarding incorrect timings. We have reviewed these and made corrections. We believe the results are now correct and have been resubmitted. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Event 550 - tougher than all of the 549 that went before it? The mud was one thing, but that headwind on the second half of each lap was something else. Really well done to the 176 who completed the course today!

The conditions may change from week to week, but some things are more reliable. First out of the mudbath today, once again, were Ryan Friel (19:04) and Rachel Bailey (22:06), both from East London Runners.

Today’s muddy milestones: 50 for Alison Burns, and 100 for both Kate Goold and Samir Younsi! What a day to do it.

Event 551: lots of reasons why this one was special: the Flats being frozen (what a change from last week’s mudbath), Andrew Howard’s striptease (what a joy to see a 500 shirt 🤩), and a female being first person across the line (what a run that was!).

Brogan Wallace of London Heathside AC was first female over the line in 18:10. Peter Johns was first male in 19:30. The first junior male was Max Vincent Koschek and the first junior female was Alma McMillan.

Milestones: 25 for Jonny Crowe and Mairi Henderson, 50 for Mat Beal and Yasmin Drakes. Well done all of you 👏 👏 👏
