My thanks to Beilstein-Institut @beilstein-institut.bsky.social team and the other editors that make my job fun. Thanks to all our authors and reviewers for their contributions. It is surprisingly hard to convince people that platinum open access publishing is beneficial to authors and readers. #BJOC
Check out the FREE virtual summer school on Carbohydrate Materials at Virginia Tech glycomip.org/.../glycomip-2… I am looking forward to teaching the synthesis part from the very basics to the latest (unpublished) developments on Automated Glycan Assembly Biomolecular Systems Cleo #glycotime
Removing protecting groups by hydrogenation seems like a boring routine task. Still it often results in loss of half the material at the last step of a synthesis. Quality control of the catalyst greatly improves the deprotection. Great job Conor Crawford Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces Biomolecular Systems

Just came out in J. Am. Chem. Soc.. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja… A concise synthesis of a structurally very challenging tetrasaccharide is achieved in 28 steps from free sugars via an iMAP strategy.
Kulkarni and coworkers Suvarn S. Kulkarni from IIT Bombay report the first total synthesis of a conjugation-ready structurally complex tetrasaccharide repeating unit of vibrio cholerae O:3 O-antigen polysaccharide. Learn about it in #OrgLett pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Biomolecular Systems alumnus Cheng-Chung Wang presented a insightful #glycotime lecture and had a good time with us in #potsdam
