Your local food bank has a variety of urgent needs to help those in your community experiencing crisis. Perhaps they need cereal, nappies or soup. But if you don't know that, you can often donate goods that aren't needed. 1/3

This week is #NationalHygieneWeek, an initiative from the charity thehygienebank. We couldn't agree with them more: feeling clean shouldn't be a luxury or a privilege for anyone in our society, yet many people are living in poverty and cannot afford to stay clean.

Young people from the Future Choices programme decided to hold a car wash. They used the money they raised to buy donations for Walton and Hersham Food bank. The group raised enough money to donate 28 kg of food, which has gone a long way in supporting families in need.
