You've got three more nights to see Yellowfin. It's absurd and philosophical and alarming and satirical and it's really bloody well acted and it looks gorgeous. big congrats to Marek Horn Ed Madden Jessie Anand Productions and the whole team!

We caught Yellowfin earlier this week and trust us when we say you don’t want to miss it. Marek Horn’s play is sharp and very funny, expertly directed by Ed Madden, and with four actors at the top of their game 🐠

#Yellowfin Southwark Playhouse was EXCELLENT! Marek Horn is one of the most exciting new voices in theatre I've heard in a while. Stunning rhythm and use of repetition. Only one night left, really urge everyone to see it! #theatre #offwestend #newwriting #play

‘Yellowfin’ at Southwark Playhouse NEEDS to be seen by everyone! Wonderfully absurd, funny and pertinent to this very moment - a seriously terrifying glimpse into what could be our future. ‘Why did they go?’ is still ringing in my ears!!! 🐟🐠

Today is your very last chance to catch YELLOWFIN: two performances, at 3.30pm and 8pm, both almost sold out. Proud of this one. Come for the play, stay for me having a little cry into a G&T. 🐠 southwarkplayhouse.co.uk/show-whats-on/…

Yellowfin was just superb. Phenomenal writing, astute direction, delivered by a cast that has you clinging to the tips of every sentence. Poss one of my favourite new plays ever??

So, that was YELLOWFIN. Six years since Marek Horn sent me a draft of his play, and a year since Jessie Anand’s first attempt to get it on was scuppered by the dreaded. And all for the good — it mightn’t have been half the pleasure without this team. Their work is mighty.

I am still reeling from #Yellowfin Southwark Playhouse this weekend. Marek Horn, Ed Madden & Jessie Anand Productions created something spectacular. Truly one of the best new plays I’ve seen in the past 5 years, Every beat, line, set, LX, sound, costume, and acting choice was perfect. I want more.

Ace to see a mention for YELLOWFIN in the Telegraph Theatre end-of-year round-up: we were a “rare glimpse of that vanishing species: the play of ideas.” Crack open a can of tuna and think of us!

Very flattered to see YELLOWFIN among @AvaWongDavies’ favourite culture of 2021, alongside some really beautiful shows, films, novels and music. Safe to say, Nick Day has our heart, too. medium.com/@avadavies/202…

YELLOWFIN is one of Tom Sutcliffe’s picks of the year for BBC Front Row: “[a] great production, beautifully done… There was just the simple excitement of getting back into a small theatre and seeing how much excitement you can cram into that small space.” A fishy, festive surprise!

What a cracking way to end the year — thanks to WhatsOnStage for including YELLOWFIN on this list! We’re not sure what the future holds for the show, but we’d love to do it again, so cross your fingers and watch this space…

The beautiful screenplay for MORNING is by theatre’s very own Sam Steiner, who is wisely not on Twitter but should have this massive news shouted about. His writing for film is as bold, distinctive and humane as his work for the stage, and I am so proud of him.

Get along to this little gem of a play from LucyRoslyn, which steals into the heart by cover of two profoundly deft and delicate performances. Produced with customary care by Jessie Anand, it’s a kind of 80-minute (air-conned!) oasis.

So proud of Sam. Neither of us would be anywhere without this play; for it to have this kind of life and reach is a mad and amazing thing. Almost eight years ago…
