And after 20 days of just tea and medicines and hope, and love, and indigenous matriarch prayers, I’m still standing.

Day 22 of the fast and grieving ceremony. I am half way there! 22 days until I can cut my hair, finish this, disappear to get my strength back and begin my work of sharing my music again.

~ Day 25 ~ I finished the first draft of my affidavit yesterday and spent today visiting kookums, smudging, praying, sleeping.

Day 26 Today the renowned Cree storyteller, elder, artist, survivor, medicine singer, hope giver, and writer Joseph Naytowhow came to pray and visit. Joseph blessed our camp with a few sacred songs and beautiful stories to meditate on as my fast and ceremony continues.

27 days of fasting. We remain a prayerful and welcoming space, open to all faiths, open to all ways of prayer and expression of love for creator and devotion to the divine. This evening we were gifted with prayerful songs of hope from Pastors from Trinity Lutheran Church.

Day #28 of fasting. On Tuesday, a dozen representatives from the Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) Women’s Commission made the nearly 400 km journey down to Regina to show their support for Tristen. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

Day 30. Prayers, tea, medicine, a sacred fire, and friends have carried me for this long. I have no doubts that I will make it to day 44 with my mind and heart and hope clear and alive and well.

7/ Tristen Durocher will appear in front of a judge at Court of Queen's Bench in Regina tomorrow morning. The Saskatchewan government is seeking a court order to have his teepee removed from the lawn of the provincial legislature.
