I am a palliative care doctor who is not opposed to AD. But on the eve of tomorrow's vote, it boils down to this. Enshrining in law a state-funded right to die, while not enshrine a similar right to the palliative care that might make life worth living, is deeply wrong. 🧵

After careful consideration, I have decided to vote against the Assisted Dying Bill at Third Reading. This is not a decision I have made lightly, and I respect there are different views on this important topic. I explain my reasons in detail in the attached note.

Religions relate morality to control over reproduction. Divisive policies endanger informed moral reasoning & HR. Denying females right to bodily autonomy before 4 weeks of tadpole like pregnancy lets feminists be without natural alignment neither religious nor fascist.

Perhaps another REFERENDUM is due but how many will be made homeless & disenfranchised by fascists in the interim?

Although I've never been pregnant it has always seemed to me that basing morality purely upon emotion & hormonal responses is unintelligent & the opposite of autonomy. Do Doctors now have any obligation to save the life of post-20 week babies? Its immoral & murderous not to.

This is true. People who support others suffer unwarranted investigation, bullying, slander, disempowerment & disenfranchisement & theft by the authorities & the fascists.

What do they mean compassion? Dying is compassionate to others? Conceited gits. Who does not have a choice over whether to eat food offered? If you want to die don't eat.

Theres a slight difference between paid for and state provided AD politically if not morally. I would not go into a Swiss hospital though if I could avoid it though I would live there. I would not live or visit Benelux.
