The problem with quality improvement projects and making any changes in departments/hospitals is that you only really have an impact only once you become a consultant. That's if you have any will left at that point, having constantly hit a wall throughout training.

I've applied for citizenship. Yet somehow even after 7 years here, my mechanic is Polish, my builder, carpenter, plumber and electrician all Polish, I only eat meat and dairy from the Polish shop and never bought British honey. You can take Jo out of Poland but...😆

Dear 🇬🇧, As we approach the NHS 75th anniversary, here's your reminder that 10 years ago, it was ranked the #1 healthcare system on Earth. You don't need a new system. You need a new govt that won't intentionally destroy it for their own financial benefit. #SOSNHS #NHS75

Well done James from The BMA. This is the nonsense trainees have to deal with. Its unbelievable that this happens in this day and age and the frustrating bit is that it happens so often. (source - IMGs in UK FB group)

The view of trainees can be quite different to the consultants who are involved in the development. #TC2023 @Anaes_Trainees

Thank you! Effective and tested aide memoire lanyard card for paeds resus, achieved with the help of fantastic colleagues from Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and AWAG funding. Would love to know WSA's (and everyone's) thoughts on how to share this with more trainees - more 💰 needed

How can NHS improve the retention of IMG doctors? Starter pack 🧵 Please stop telling non-training grade doctors that they are just service provision & shouldn't expect help with personal development & training.

Finally after so many years in Wales I work in a hospital where Welsh is regularly spoken and I love it! Now just need to learn the language 😂

Did you know you can be working in the UK as a doctor for years after passing IELTS at C2 (proficiency) level and a bunch of postgraduate exams, but to get a British passport you still need to pay £200 for a 12-min B1 (intermediate) English certification. Makes sense right.
