The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame will induct former NAIT coach Jules Owchar on September 27. Ken Goodwin, Dale Henwood, Kevin Martin, Garry Meadus (as part of ACAC Founding Members), Lorne Sawula, John Utendale & the '84-85 Ooks Hockey Team have ties to NAIT & entered previously.

An opportunity to honour a team which defeated the eventual CIAU (now U Sports) champs & won all their games in the post season on the 40th anniversary of their national title was missed by the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame.

Of the 81 NAIT Ooks athletes honoured as a CCAA All Canadian, 19 received the award more than once. Of the 19, Leanne Kadatz (🚺⚽️), Dan Kai (🏸), Cleo Rowein (🚹🏒) & Sun Yang (🏸) received the award more than twice. Only Rowein was honoured in every season of participation.

Earlier this year, Ethan Lee & Matthew Wong earned NAIT's 25th finish atop the podium at the CCAA Badminton Championships. It was also the 40th finish atop the podium for the NAIT Athletics at nationals.
