So excited to share that my short story “Angelo,” which originally appeared in Ploughshares, was selected by Celeste Ng for the 2025 Best American Short Stories! Having a story in BASS has been one of my literary dreams since I first started writing short stories in college! ✨

In 2023, David Kipen included an old diary entry of mine in his calendrical anthology DEAR CALIFORNIA. I wrote the words in 2018, between July 4th and my birthday. I’m still grateful for my immigrant childhood. I have never feared more for my immigrant brothers and sisters.
