Yesterday I was listening to RSS chief Bhagwat's speech and it sounds like the voice of an opposition leader. He was talking about Maryada and Ahankar and cautioning the ruling party to get out of those. He was talking against hate politics and arrogance of rulers. Surprising.

#RSS Chief potshots at the BJP central leadership 👀 The rift between RSS and BJP is nothing new to me Having interacted with RSS workers during the Tripura 2023 Election, there were apparent fissures, especially in regards to contestation of power Mainly candidate selection!

“If by strong PM, you mean you preside over the mass massacre of innocent citizens in the streets of Ahmedabad, if that is the measure of strength, I don’t believe that sort of strength this country needs, least of all in its PM.” Not many dare to say this out loud, even today.

Imagine a neoliberal state so comically failed that a private company announces paid ambulances and people go crazy thanking them instead of questioning the govt why such a market even exists. Soon we’ll have paid oxygen services too and people will go crazy again.

How do you begin to write a tribute to a journalist, a friend, a brother? How do you describe him when nothing really contains him? The first time I met Mukesh Chandrakar was in December 2015, weeks after I had landed in Chhattisgarh as the Indian Express reporter there. (1/18)

5.7 million views on the documentary in 18 hours This would never have happened if they didn’t try to stop the screening and censor it. This is called the STREISAND Effect!
