Don't forget to apply for our session European Geosciences Union in April 2024! "Secondary Forest Dynamics, Regrowth Trajectories and carbon removal potential" ! 🌲🌳🌴 We are looking forward to seeing your work and discussing post-disturbance forest dynamics with you!
Not often proud of myself, but so honoured to have received the Faculty of Science award for my PhD last year @GeogBristol on "The carbon sink in recovering degraded and secondary tropical forests". 🛰️🌎🌳 Thank you @Drjohouse, Luiz Aragao, Stephen Sitch and TC Hales.
Mind the Gap on tropical forest carbon. 🛰️🌎🌳 @esa_eo, ESA Climate Office and Clement Albergel have helped to summarise our work published recently in Carbon Balance and Management: esa.int/Applications/O… Read the full study here: rdcu.be/drBnr

NEW RESEARCH ALERT! 🚨 First #PhD 📚 is out in Global Change Biology. Exploring #global patterns & drivers of #liana success over #trees. Led by myself w/ David Schoeman @marion_pfeifer GeertjevanderHeijden ForestPlots Martin Sullivan Andy Marshall & more 1/n doi.org/10.1111/gcb.17…
‼️Funded workshop, RT pls‼️ Are you interested in the Amazonian sociobiodiversity? ? We are hosting a WS on this topic for early-career researchers in Belém (16-18/July), with travel/accom funded by British Council Apply here: t.ly/A4NCd
Forest recovery success or failure? Remote sensing can help answer this question. Take a look at our new RSE paper: doi.org/10.1016/j.rse.… Big thanks to my amazing co-authors Alba Viana Soto , Ana Stritih , Rupert Seidl and especially @corneliussenf for the great support!
New work is out in Plants People Planet 🌱👥🌐 - #Anthromes and #forest carbon responses to global change - Incorporating an anthromes perspective with CMIP6 carbon climate feedbacks, we show how recent past tropical forest land carbon stocks are uniquely vulnerable to global change
