“Parable of the Talents” Very curious, for those of you who know this one… what do you see here? How do you read it? 👀

SOMETHING NEW in the works… Inspired by Ein Gedi, an oasis in the Judean desert that’s now a beautiful nature preserve. It’ll depict a waterfall when I’m done, but I’m doing an abstract under painting with deep jewel tones, bold metallics, and sacred symbolism.

Just me and my bestie discussing important things.

I saw a friend today who very recently went through a tragic loss and has a lot to process. She asked me, “Can I have a paint night with you?” Creating art can help us heal. If I can help someone by providing space for that healing, the answer is always YES.

I feel like I get more and more introverted with age. In my 20s, I used be all, “Let’s invite all the friends to the group hangout thing!” Now: Can we keep this social thing to no more than 2 other people? And end by 9pm?

So thankful for the friends who showed up to the Lancaster AAPI visual & performing arts show today! I got to exchange stories with people because of my art, which helps form deeper connections.

I’m never sure how to take it when Gen Z kids tell me, “I always forget that you’re older than me.” Like, thanks, but also… maybe I should get my life together 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve always loved trees, even as a kid! This is a historic cabin at Swatara State Park. I was a youth leader once, and I led some kids on a hike that ended at the top of this waterfall, overlooking Bordner’s Cabin. The moment was worth painting 😊
