We have seen an increase in demand for face to face support in 2025, mainly around the complex needs aspect of the homelessness community. We are seeing more veterans with complex needs falling in to homelessness in the Liverpool city region in 2025.

Paul’s Place Wirral Coastal Walk 2025 update - We are delighted to update that we have now passed the £2,500 fundraising mark! Massive thanks to all who took part and to all who contributed! All funds raised go directly towards providing suicide bereavement support in Merseyside.

The Armed Forces Gambling Support Network - a Finalist for the Reed in Partnership Education, Training, and Development Award - led by Beacon Counselling Trust has a single mission to address gambling harms within the Armed Forces community. Meet them at bit.ly/45s909B

In July 2024, GambleAware added a service finder to their website to help people experiencing gambling related harms access local support. Since it’s inception, the North West has been the most searched from region across England, Scotland and Wales with 4,500 searches.

A very difficult Week 34, we received eight referrals for homelessness involving Veterans in the Liverpool area, two referrals from HMP probation, three referrals from registered veteran charities, 1 from Op Fortitude and 2 self referrals from veterans both sleeping in tents .
