Spruce Creek High School Academy of Finance seniors competed in their annual Shark Tank Competition. This multiple day event showcased the entrepreneurial mindset and knowledge of an amazing group of upcoming graduates. Congrats to everyone who competed!

This school year 130 students at Taylor Middle High School earned Industry Certifications, and last week we celebrated their achievements at the 3rd Annual CTE Reward Luncheon! Thank you FBLA chapter for hosting the event and congrats to all the students on this achievement!

As we end an amazing 24-25 school year, we finished celebrating graduations last week & today launched this week's 2025 Summer Admin Institute. The ability for leaders throughout the district to get together, align our vision for next year allows collaboration for a common goal.

At last night's VCS School Board Meeting we celebrated the outstanding achievements of three of our CTE Agriculture teachers: Kyle Hearn, Farrah Johnson, and Carey Davis. The FAAE recognizes outstanding achievements in agricultural education through its various awards. Congrats!

In 2024-2025, our CTE students were able to attain over 4,600 industry certifications across our programs & academies. Examples such as ServSafe to enter into culinary positions, technology certs that lead to gateway jobs, and trades students earning certs. Congrats CTE Students!

Why CTE? There are numerous benefits for students who attend middle & high school CTE classes. CTE offers career pathways from high school to post-secondary education including dual-enrollment & articulated credit and industry certs that lead to high wage & high demand careers.

Demo & buildout of the Pine Ridge High School's Launch Credit Union branch started last week. Academy of Finance students will interview & be selected to work in the branch and complete paid internships over summer break. Thank you Launch Credit Union for all that you do for VCS!

CTE staff throughout the district attended the 59th Annual FACTE Conference in Orlando this week. Great collaboration, comradery, content sessions, and a student scholarship fundraising event were just a few things experienced this week. Charged and ready for the new school year!

It was great meeting our new CTE teachers at the VCS New Teacher Academy pre-service held at Mainland High! We were able to share best practices & content resources. Great job to our NTA team & congrats to our new teachers and wishing you all an amazing 2025-2026 school year!
