We are proud that Winemakers Research Exchange is representing at the Eastern Winery Exposition. Today, our Exchange Coordinator Rebecca Rainbow presented on the topic of winery sanitation.
Proud that our Research Enologist, Joy Ting Wine, presented a poster today at the ASEV National Conference. Done in collaboration with Virginia Tech Food Science & Technology Department, this study examined ripening kinetics and grape chemistry in Petit Manseng, a variety of increasing importance in #vawine.
Last sensory session this year: Winemaker Melanie Natoli from canavineyards joined us to delve into her experiment looking at the impact of extended lees aging on Albariño. We discussed advantages, disadvantages, and potential challenges. Review at youtu.be/UDDiquHKp3w
The WRE is pleased to highlight research just published in the journal “Beverages” focused on Petit Manseng in Virginia. doi.org/10.3390/bevera….
