With H.E. Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs, I emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, unhindered humanitarian aid, and accountability under international law. Recognition of the State of Palestine is crucial for peace, justice, &regional stability.

🇵🇸🇱🇹 Today in Vilnius, I held constructive talks with Lithuanian FM Kęstutis Budrys. We stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and reaffirmed that the two-state solution is the only path to just, lasting peace. We also discussed strengthening bilateral relations.

Met with San Marino FM Luca Beccari 🇸🇲 who confirmed his country’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine 🇵🇸 at the upcoming UN Peace Conference. A principled step that strengthens the path to justice, peace & the two-state solution.

Today I met Cardinal Pietro Parolin at the Vatican. I raised Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and violations in the West Bank & Jerusalem, stressing the urgency of international law & the two-state solution. The Holy See reaffirmed its stand for justice & peace.

In Rome today, I met Italian FM Antonio Tajani. 🇮🇹🇵🇸 I urged concrete steps to end Israel’s genocide on Gaza and to recognize the State of Palestine as the path to peace & stability in the Middle East.
