American Academy of Nursing Legislators and government officials have the authority to enforce and make changes to policies for safe patient: nurse ratios. It decreases mortality rates of patients and increasing nursing retention. This should take priority in healthcare. #NURS638

I particularly enjoyed "Getting Wrecked." @DrKimSue detailed the failure of the American criminal justice system to treat incarcerated women with SUDs. If we do not adopt treatment strategies supported by scientific evidence, such as MAT, we risk perpetuating the problem.#nur638
