At approximately 6 PM yesterday, VRFA crews assisted by Puget Sound Fire, South King Fire, and King County Medic One responded to a structure fire in the 32500 block of 51st Ave S with fire spreading to nearby vegetation. No injuries and cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters located the patient and began patient treatment while other firefighters, specially trained in technical rescue used a rope system to lower 3 firefighters and a stokes stretcher to bring the patient topside.

VRFA crews responded to a report of a residential fire in the 2800 blk of R Pl SE this morning. One patient was treated on scene. Three residents and a dog have been displaced and will be assisted by the Red Cross. The fire is now out. The cause is under investigation.
