I’m not saying that somebody somewhere on earth right now has access to time travel

Historians have pet “bookend years” for constructs like The Renaissance, Late Medieval, etc. I’d like to propose 1898-2016 as the bookend years for some sort of Significant Period. 1898: the LCSH were first published)-2016: the last time they were printed before moving online.
What is the current state of the art on “here’s why everyone you know with kids is sick all the time”? Like give me things to read. Kids sharing germs etc has always been part of parent small talk, a la “Oh how’s your sleep?” Or “They grow up to fast”. But is it worse now? Etc

“It’s called Samsara, folks. It’s like a big wheel, but very sad and very tragic. And it’s continuous, folks. It just keeps going, with the rebirth, and other sad things. We can’t have it, you know. We have to break free, folks. And we’re breaking free very strongly, actually.”
