After 10 days and mere 260 kilometres hiking through some of the most spectacular scenery former URNU Northumbria CO has completed the Camino de Santiago. The unit Coxn has completed his Holyhead to HMS Cambria cycle, 237.6 miles in 23 hours 07 minutes and 26 seconds. 💪🏼 effort.

This month, OCs from URNU Wales have had opportunities to visit HMS Somerset, HMS Magpie and RRS James Cook. Thank you to HMS Somerset HMS Magpie and National Oceanography Centre for having us!

Earlier this month, our New Entry OCs attended Unit New Entry Weekend onboard at HMS Cambria. The weekend taught them the basics of the four syllabus pillars with stances including Practical Leadership Tasks, drill, sports, kit maintenance and navigation ⚓️

Remembrance Sunday was marked by OCs from URNU Wales participating in remembrance parades in Cardiff, Swansea and Bridgend. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

This Month, our OCs have are raising money for Men's mental health by Moving for Movember, and have already clocked up over 700km of running and walking! Any donations would be greatly appreciated! uk.movember.com/team/2482156?u…

OCs from URNU Wales, URNU Bristol , URNU Devon and URNU Birmingham were recently able to undertake damage control and firefighting training at HMS Raleigh. They completed the Damage Repair Instructional Unit, as well as learning the basics of firefighting at sea.🔥🌊

In February, OCs from our New Entry went on an Adventurous Training Weekend in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. They took part in Caving and Whitewater Canoeing, developing key values including teamwork and courage, and the event was hugely enjoyed by all who attended!
