Just heard Chris Packham say 50% drop in UK #hedgehog population since 2000 mainly due to UK farmers ripping out hedgerows. Sorry mate, farmers have planted over 30,000km of new hedgerows since 1997 & there’s now over 400,000km of hedgerows in UK. @nfu BBC Springwatch

Anyone would think nitrogen fertilizer production is the byproduct of CO2 production - seam to have missed the issue that the fertilizer produces 48% of the world food supply, that then needs the CO2 for processing, storing, packing etc !

I was just talking to a journalist and he made (unknowingly) clear to me how little people know about agriculture. He asked me if we are already experiencing a decline in production.

I have never seen this before,drought stress ?
