No surprises there. Would like to have kept Kane but couldn't care less about others. Makes full back a priority though!

Lots of great options for #wildflowerhour this week, but I think I'll go with annual knawel (Scleranthus annuus) from a lovely site near Doncaster!

Also, didn't realise #carrotsandpeas were the theme for #wildflowerhour so I'll make another entry with spring vetch (Vicia lathyroides). Such a tiny thing. Apologies for the poor photos!

There's an episode of Judge Rinder where someone sues someone else for making a birthday cake that looks so bad it is beyond words. Nothing can prepare you for how bad it is. It is the best bit of British TV ever produced and I cannot find it anywhere.

Not native but too beautiful of a plant to not be my #wildflowerhour entry this week. Beautiful tree lupins on the sensational Haverigg sand dunes yesterday.

A terrible photo of a lovely plant. Slender St John's Wort (Hypericum pulchrum) in the woodlands near Pye Flatts Meadows at Hoylandswaine. #wildflowerhour

And my #bythewater entry for #wildflowerhour goes to the brilliant sea milkwort (Lysimachia maritima), carpeting the Cumbrian coast near Haverigg.

Apologies for the early #wildflowerhour entry, but think I will be preoccupied come 8pm! Spiny restharrow (Ononis spinosa) within the railway cutting grasslands at Clarbrough Tunnel SSSI.

They just didn't want to win. Another final to rue, that we can look back on and say "what if we had a go at em", but they've no interest in that. Same as three years ago. Spain deserved winners of the tournament overall. It will never be our turn.

Mitch (@uknownuffin) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Not true. As England fans we can all stomach losing, God knows we're used to it. But it's how we lose that is the problem. Same story as three years ago of what if we'd have had a go at them? What could have been. But we were too scared to, and that's down to Southgate.

Spot on. You may not think you're far right, and you may indeed not be. But if you attend these marches, you are comfortable enough in their company that you deserve to be associated with them.

A solitary grass vetchling (Lathyrus nissolia) was an unexpected find on a local patch in Wombwell, Barnsley and is my #wildflowerhour entry this week.

Moved over to BlueSky for anyone interested in following me. Will generally be all things natural history. I will be avidly trying to avoid anything political over there as it does my brain no good. @ MitchGreenhalgh is where you'll find me. Thanks!

Chris Philps on LBC this morning. "Under Labour, small boat crossings have risen 23%" "The next set of immigration statistics will show that net migration has reduced, that's thanks to conservative policies". Wants credit for the good and no blame for the bad. Typical Tory.
