A young female teacher at Lilumala primary school in Muchinga reached out recently asking for used shoes for kids aged 5-14 at her school. Many of them don’t have or have never worn shoes before. As June approaches it’s a nightmare walking to school barefoot.

I recently visited a friend who is teaching Kuma rural areas, these kids are going through a lot and they cover long distance just for them to get to schools 🥺🥲
