7 years ago today … The Paradise Jam. In Lynchburg, Va.

14 years ago today I was at the Paradise Jam in an alleged paradise (not Lynchburg, Va.). In retrospect, the Lynchburg experience probably treated me better.

The Alma Mater electing to go with a throwback helmet from an era in which they were 5-39 is a choice.

Tip of the cap to the Alma Mater for its situational awareness in sending out the alumni magazine as the football team is losing 26-0 at halftime en route to its 21st straight loss.

This Par 5 setup reminds me of No. 12 at Waveland.

Another course that was clearly inspired by midwestern parkland layouts.

At this point it wouldn’t surprise me if UNI tried to rename Hudson Road to Forest Ave.

One of the best parts of changing careers is that there’s no reason why I should ever have to set foot on Valpo’s campus ever again.
