Excellent weather and wonderful merchandise resulted in a great crowd at today's Alumni Yard Sale to support the Dorm Refresh Campaign at Tusculum University. Sales were brisk. We are grateful to our alumni for initiating this event and thank the community for joining us.

With the fall semester starting in less than a month, Tusculum faculty and staff members spent Tuesday morning making the campus look even nicer! We are excited about the start of the academic year and look forward to preparing our students to be career-ready professionals!

We will celebrate the legacies of Dr. Donal Sexton and Ron Conley, two longtime faculty members who passed away in 2022 and 2023, respectively, with ceremonies Saturday, Aug. 26, on campus. The event for Dr. Sexton will be at 11 a.m., and the one for Conley will occur at 1 p.m.

We hosted some new students in our adult and online studies program on campus tonight. They met with a number of leaders and offices. This was our way of helping these students be ready for their studies. We wish all of them tremendous success.

The Tusculum cafeteria reopens tomorrow for the academic year. During the summer, we have freshened the look and added a few other amenities, such as music, that will increase enjoyment and convenience for students, faculty and staff.

Micah Gall, a member of Boy Scout Troop 92 in Greeneville, has enhanced access to a section of Tusculum University's nature trail by creating a boardwalk. He also installed 10 birdhouses to help local species.
