The sad irony being that full pay restoration for resident doctors would cost less than this. At just £1.3bn approx if you did it overnight. And to be clear, Resident Doctors aren’t even asking for it overnight. They’re happy to negotiate a journey via a multiyear deal. #WinWin

This is the status quo Mr Streeting is defending and argues is perfectly reasonable. 👇🏼 The assistant to the doctor earns 46.4% more than the doctor in London. Make it make sense. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Todays picket at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham🪧 £22.67/hr is not an unreasonable ask. Doctors have subsidised the NHS for far too long. Perhaps Wes Streeting needs reminding that the power to stop these strikes lies squarely with the government. Resident Doctors

Labour is building back the crucial family services that were decimated by the Tories. That's because we believe every child growing up in our country deserves the best start in life, regardless of their background.

Sending my support for #Resident doctors today. Fully behind the #Strike. Anybody who doesn’t support them doesn’t understand the issues around the dangers of doctor shortages, long A+E waits, Exit Block and its effects on patient mortality and morbidity. #BMA

Today we have taken a big step forward. Protecting children from harmful online content that has no place in their feeds. I'm determined kids can benefit from technology without fear of seeing unsuitable content.
