TPD has received inquiries regarding a social media post that report a shooting occurred at 8th St/Rensselaer St earlier today. There have been no reported shootings/shots fired and the information contained in the post is false.

TPD Detectives & the Emergency Response Team are in the area of Jefferson St/Hill St conducting a pre-planned court-ordered search warrant in connection to an ongoing narcotics investigation. The scene is safe, there will be a police presence while Detectives conduct the search.

TPD is assisting TFD at 501 Broadway for an EMS/hazmat call. The call required some residents to be temporarily evacuated while the scene is processed. There is no danger to any resident, or the surrounding community, at this time. There will be a TPD/TFD presence at the scene.
