An autism assessment can be the first step to really understanding people’s needs and, too often, people can’t get support without a diagnosis, although this shouldn’t be the case. An autism diagnosis can be life changing and in some cases lifesaving.

It is interesting to see the national figures for the number of people waiting for an autism diagnosis. Headline: Nationally, the number of people waiting has trebled since 2021.

On 18th March 2025 we are having a Triple A "Reconnect Day" at Penrith Methodist Church in Cumbria A Reconnect Day is when Autistic people and their families can meet with friends and organisations who may be helpful to them. There's lunch provided and it's all free!
