Well, I've got some news! Last night, Investigative Project on Race and Equity won two awards for our story looking into the struggles many Black seniors face to receive home improvement loans. It’s the first story I've worked on to be nominated and win at the Lisagors, and I couldn't be more grateful.

On Friday night, my former Investigative Project on Race and Equity colleagues and I won two awards for our reporting on Black seniors in Chicago being disproportionately denied HELOCs and refinancing.
