TRICS 8's database was kept the same as TRICS 7's for testing purposes in 2025. This November and December, we're adding hundreds of new surveys, including a record number of SAM surveys. Our 2026 data collection program is increasing by 11% to 300 surveys at no extra cost. 📊

The second release of TRICS 8 will go live on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The update includes a new Time Series Analysis Module and approximately 180 new surveys. A further 150 surveys will be added in a December release, totalling around 330 new surveys in six weeks. 📊 #TRICS

After 31 years of dedicated service, our Systems Developer, Stephan Delaney, retired on September 1, 2025. His work was fundamental to the growth and success of TRICS, and we couldn't have done it without him. He will always be a much-valued member of the TRICS community.

The deadline for new TRICS SAM survey commissions in this Autumn’s survey window (noon on Monday 8th September) has now passed. Therefore, any new requests for SAM surveys will need to be for the Spring 2026 window, with surveys commencing from 1st February.

There has been a record high demand for SAM commissions in 2025, and this looks set to continue into next year. For each survey window, we need to set a deadline as the process requires lead time, and we ensure that each deadline is announced with a good amount of notice.

If any organisation wishes to commission SAM surveys, they can get in touch with the TRICS team at any time so projects can be set up for the Spring 2026 window.

After a lot of ongoing work behind the scenes, TRICS is pleased to confirm that we will be commissioning a further four multi-modal surveys at data centres in Slough, with these to take place in the Autumn 2025 survey window (which is now underway).

We fully understand that data centres are of high importance to our users, with new applications for such developments coming in at quite a pace, so this is a direct result of listening to the TRICS Community and taking action to provide much-needed new data in this area.

There may be further news soon regarding more data centre surveys in London, as this mission is yet to be completed. Stay tuned!

The 2026 TRICS data collection programme has begun! Our site visits have begun, with our first month including Lincoln, Belfast, and Worthing. We're also busy planning upcoming trips to Wales, Blackburn and London.

Anne-Marie Kanor has left the company’s role of Project Administrator. Anne-Marie did an excellent job throughout an important period of the company’s history, at a time of organisational restructuring, which enabled our company to progress to new levels.

Interviews are taking place to recruit a new Project Administrator. In the meantime, emails sent to Anne-Marie are being diverted, as arrangements have been made to maintain all TRICS operations during the interim period.
