Awesome job by Trevor Barlowe of UNC Gastroenterology presenting at ACG #AC2023 the findings on safety of performing esophageal biopsies among patients presenting with food impaction
Excellent talk from Trevor Barlowe on esophageal biopsies to evaluate for EoE at time of esophageal food impaction! Biopsies at time of EFI are not associated with adverse events, but remain underperformed. Biopsies should be performed in absence of extenuating circumstances.
