Early this morning, the northern lights danced across the calm waters of Lake Huron in Port Elgin, Ontario for the fourth night in a row! #northernlights #auroraborealis

One of the hardest things to capture when the Aurora’s fast moving and the pinks are fringing along the bottom. But the most amazing to see in person 🤩 Dar Tanner #aurora

Expect a CME that started around 15 UT on 3 October to arrive on the 7th or 8th. I initially could not find any on-disk signatures and STEREO-A COR2 images showed no far-side CMEs. But I now think the CME was from the visible side (~E30?), by comparing COR2 and LASCO data.

Not only do we have 4 solar storms on the way to Earth, but a gorgeous East limb eruption keeps us distracted while Region 4246 fires off yet another big eruption. Check out the huge tower of plasma at the end of this video jetting from Region 4246 just moments ago!

Amid the Sun's farside blasts, several #solarstorms are headed to Earth! Expect a bumpy ride through October 28. Aurora chasers at high latitudes could see decent shows. HF radio & GPS reception improves on Earth's dayside. See my latest forecast for more: youtu.be/-_pYGbD1l00
