Thought I had learnt something new about the sex life of bees when I read the first paragraph. It takes a little practice to read an ‘f’ as an ‘s’. Quite right, however, that a resilient nursery sector is as important as a smiling bee..

We can already offer these. Fully biodegradable spirals with absolutely no oil based plastics which have been out on test for the last couple of years and have performed well. Currently 60cms but 1.2m coming for this winter.

Tremendous day Groundswell today. Blown away by the level of interest in our range of biodegradable tree shelters. We have another variant arriving tomorrow morning so do come and have a look and let us know what you think of a flat pack biodegradable - interesting times!

Welcome to our home for this week! We are in the Woodland Row at the Scottish Game Fair and looking forward to welcoming you. Looking forward to finding out if Scotland is as interested in Biodegradable shelters as Groundswell was last week.

Interesting discussion this morning: Will a bio tree shelter with guaranteed NO toxic residue whatsoever sell for a 50% premium price over the majority that are unable to offer this assurance? (assuming identical performance, of course)

That's a bit of a sweeping statement, Richard. We still have available good numbers of Beech, Oaks, Aspen, Alders, Willows, Haw and Blackthorn and smaller numbers of most other species despite many millions of B/Ls already sold. All UK grown

Over 5m young trees, ordered last autumn by forest managers in Scotland, now being burnt on nurseries. Abject failure between FMs and Forestry and Land Scotland to get planting schemes to the start line. These losses are unsustainable - please work it out! #whatawaste

Is that not the wrong type of acacia, Simon? We use Robinia Pseudoacacia as treestakes - I think your photo is real Acacia (Wattle). Nonetheless, Robinia is extremely durable as well

We love FTT. They do such good work in breeding trees that will have both a high conservation value and also provide a return for the land manager when they mature. Well worth supporting!

Huge congratulations to all at Ipswich Town. Been my second club for many years and it is so good to see them back in the Premier league. Look forward to you visiting Newcastle United next season

Not the official pic but much the nicest. Full of the King’s champagne and a ‘good’ lunch this is probably the only time Alan Brooke was caught smiling
